Mere Grange secures first letting
Following a recent high profile launch Langtree has secured the first letting for its prestigious new business park in St Helens, Mere Grange.
UK-wide construction business, Miller Construction (UK) Ltd, has taken a 3,316 sq ft office on a 5-year lease. The company is part of The Miller Group which is the UK's largest privately owned Construction, Property Development and Housebuilding business.
Frank Joyce, Area Director of Miller, said: “The decision to relocate from Manchester to St Helens was made easier by both Mere Grange’s excellent location which allows access to the North West motorway links and also the high quality of the offices and the surrounding landscaping.”
The first phase has seen Langtree, through a joint venture with national regeneration agent English Partnerships, deliver over 54,000 sq ft of accommodation offering 10 high quality speculative buildings as either detached or semi detached self-contained offices from 3,400 to 10,100 sq ft.
Senior Property Manager of Langtree, Jayne Furnival, says: “We are delighted that Miller Construction (UK) Ltd chose Mere Grange, and as a further 3,400 sq ft is under offer we hope to have a second occupier imminently. There has been strong interest in both the remaining buildings and the design and build opportunities, and we are in discussions with a number of occupiers.
“Our aim is to bring new jobs and opportunities to St Helens and Mere Grange has been designed to meet the exacting standards of modern occupiers.”
Future development totalling 300,000 sq ft will be brought forward in phases on either a speculative or bespoke basis to further satisfy the market’s needs, ensuring that Mere Grange is set to become St Helens and one of the North West’s premier business parks.
Mere Grange is located in a prime position off the A570 St Helens Linkway, a prominent main road linking to Junction 7 of the M62.
