On the move

Date: 19th July 2011

Source: Nottingham Post

A business which handles claims on car policies on behalf of insurance companies is to take more than 3,000 sq ft of office space at a landmark office development in Mansfield.

WNSA, which works for many major insurance companies, is using its new office at the i2 building on the Oakham Business Park to launch a new outsourced handling service related to property insurance.

i2 is the second building at the i-centre, originally set up to provide space for small, homegrown businesses.  It offers follow-on space for those businesses, and accommodation for inward investors like WNSA.

Tim Rankin, managing director at WNSA, said: "We selected the site because it is strategically placed in relation to our other offices located in Ipswich and Cheadle, and we are able to utilise the wealth of property claims expertise which has traditionally been located in the area."

i2 is run by property developer Network Space.

Kim Stutchbury, building centre manager for i2, added: "We are delighted to welcome WNS Assistance to the building which has now take its occupancy to 50 per cent."

Network Space wins award for Mansfield and Sherwood schemes

Date: 11th November 2008

Source: Nottingham Evening Post

Developer Network Space Ltd has received the award for Regeneration Project of the Year at the annual East Midlands Property Awards for work across the region, including the i2 Mansfield and Sherwood Networkcentre schemes.

i2 Mansfield is a highly sustainable scheme on Oakham Business Park providing 34,500 sq ft of offices and 16,000 sq ft of high technology units.

The BRE sustainability ratings are BREEAM Very Good for the offices and Excellent for the units.

i2 Mansfield was designed to offer up to 18 suites for local SMEs and to provide grow-on space for expanding businesses in the adjacent i-centre incubator.

Sherwood Networkcentre offers purpose-built accommodation for SMEs and new businesses with office units from 802 to 1,936 sq ft and workspace units from 810 to 5,813 sq ft.

From its location in Ollerton, the networkcentre is positioned to reach the entire country through direct access to the motorway network via the A1M, enabling more efficient and less expensive logistics for SMEs.

A manned marketing suite is now open in unit 16 of the Sherwood Networkcentre on Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 3.30pm.

The judges said: "Network Space won this category because it's meeting the demand that start-up companies have for follow-on space, retaining them for the area and boosting the regional economy.

"It is producing forward-looking, innovative, well-designed and sustainable spaces."

Managing director of Network Space, Simon Peters, said: "It's a great honour to have our projects recognised in this way."

Since its launch in 1999, Network Space had delivered over 700,000 sq ft of high quality business space across England.

The next phase, Network Village, aims to deliver 300,000 sq ft of employment space for SMEs through the development of six Network Villages over seven years to increase the availability of wider and better local employment opportunities.

Latest deals at i2 Mansfield

Date: 18th July 2011

Network Space has announced the latest deal at its prestigious office building in i2 Mansfield, on Oakham Business Park.

WNS Assistance (WNSA), the UK’s leading provider of motor claims handling services, has taken 3,374 sq ft of office space on a 5-year lease.  At the beginning of the year the company announced plans to extend its capabilities to provide outsource solutions into the insurance property claims market, and needed a base to do so.

Tim Rankin, managing director at WNSA explains: “We selected the site because it is strategically placed in relation to our other offices located in Ipswich and Cheadle, and we are able to utilise the wealth of property claims expertise which has traditionally been located in the area.  i2 at Mansfield is therefore the natural place for WNSA to locate the new property claims business, the accommodation suits the size of our business now, but also offers us the potential to expand as the business grows.”

Kim Stutchbury, building centre manager for i2 on behalf of Network Space says: “We are delighted to welcome WNS Assistance to the building which has now taken its occupancy to 50 per cent.

“There has been strong interest in the remaining space and we are currently in talks with other occupiers, and hope to release news of further lettings imminently.”

i2 Mansfield is located on Oakham Business Park in close proximity to Mansfield Town Centre.  It was designed to offer space from 1,557 to 34,000 sq ft, and therefore has the flexibility to accommodate start-up businesses, provide move on space for existing businesses or tailor space to meet HQ or corporate satellite office requirements.

Other occupiers of the building are McGregors, Healthcare Software Systems and Whistler Technology.

The office building also offers conference and meeting room facilities for up to 30 people, which can be rented by the hour – making the space flexible and cost effective as you only pay for what you need.

With competitive rents and immediate availability, i2 Mansfield offers the ideal solution for businesses looking to relocate or expand within the Mansfield area.

The building has a dedicated concierge service and is therefore open to view weekdays anytime between 9am and 5pm, or appointments can be arranged via the joint agents Innes England and Jones Lang LaSalle.
