Network Space has secured planning consent to develop four warehouses totalling 183,000 sq ft at an 11-acre site off Ravenscraig Road in Little Hulton, Salford.

Outline planning consent for up to 200,000 sq ft of employment and industrial space at the Raven Locks site was secured in 2017, with the detailed plans now being approved through a reserved matters application.

Designed by architect AEW, the four separate units of 64,000 sq ft; 46,000 sq ft; 41,000 sq ft; and 32,000 sq ft, also include parking for 245 vehicles.

The development site is adjacent to the Oakhill Trading Estate and the Cleggs Lane Industrial Estate and is served by the M61.

Stephen Barnes, Managing Director (development) from Network Space said:

“This is a large site with tremendous potential for creating new jobs through the new investment in the area.

“The location is already a familiar one to industrial and logistics operators and we are sure that Raven Locks will follow that local success and bring new businesses to the area.”

The 46,000 sq ft unit has the potential to be sub-divided into three separate units should occupier demand be demonstrated. Following development, the facilities will be acquired by InfraRed and managed by NSM.
